November 24th, 2008 by The Microblogger | Filed under Microblogging.I suppose someone had to come up with a specific definition for the term “microblogging” else we would just go on typing our little quips and messages on Twitter, Rejaw, Pownce, etc., without being able to fully explain what microblogging truly is….but now we know!
microblogging [mahy-kroh-blŏg-ing] verb
A small-scale form of blogging, generally made up of short, succinct messages, used by both consumers and businesses to share news, post status updates and carry on conversations.
That makes sense to me! At least we can all agree that microblogging is not just another social networking tool or simply of form of instant messaging. Microblogs are unique unto themselves, and deserve the distinction.
